PREVIEW: OXFORD v EDINBURGH (NDL)

OXFORD complete their home NDL programme with a Cowley clash against Edinburgh tonight (Wednesday).

The Chargers have already qualified for the Grand Final where they will face defending champions Leicester next month.

Skipper Jordan Jenkins misses the meeting after a crash last Sunday with Alfie Bowtell coming in to guest, whilst the Monarchs Academy have Nathan Ablitt and Kai Ward guesting for Adam Roynon and Dayle Wood, with rider replacement in operation for Alex Spooner.

Oxford boss Peter Schroeck said: “Edinburgh have really held their own this year and are certainly not a team we can take lightly.

“We’ve worked hard to get to this point of the season and to enter the Grand Final with a win behind us would be a big boost for everyone, so that’s what we’re targeting.

“Jordan is taking a couple of days’ rest after his fall on Sunday but Alfie is a proven rider at this level and we’re pleased to have him onboard. The boys are fired up for this one and maintaining our 100 per cent record at home.”

OXFORD: Alfie Bowtell, Jody Scott, Ryan Kinsley, Luke Killeen, Henry Atkins, Jacob Clouting, Jason Garrad.
EDINBURGH: Max Clegg, Alex Spooner r/r, Jacob Hook, Kai Ward, Nathan Ablitt, Mark Parker, Mickie Simpson.
