PREVIEW: LEICESTER v MILDENHALL (NDL GRAND FINAL)
FRIDAY’S Grand Final double header at King’s Lynn includes the National Development League decider between Leicester and Mildenhall.
The Lion Cubs are in the driving seat after a 52-37 win at West Row in last week’s first leg, and the Fen Tigers are forced into several changes due to injuries.
Leicester are without Connor Coles due to a broken collarbone, and they operate rider replacement, whilst Mildenhall bring in Tom Woolley to guest for Alex Spooner, use rider replacement for James Shanes, and also include Bailey Fellows, James Laker and Ashton Boughen to cover their other absences. Luke Muff has withdrawn on Friday morning and is replaced by James Jessop.
Lion Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “Nothing can be taken for granted as Mildenhall will be giving everything they have to pull back the deficit.
“But the team are motivated in every way to finish the job and achieve a Grand Final victory. As always, our Lion Cubs boys will all be fighting for every position in every race, to achieve that league title aim.”
LEICESTER: Dan Thompson, Max Perry, Connor Coles R/R, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson, Vinnie Foord, Mickie Simpson. No.8: Max James.
MILDENHALL: Jason Edwards, James Shanes R/R, Bailey Fellows, James Laker, Tom Woolley, Ashton Boughen, James Jessop.
