PREVIEW: LEICESTER v BELLE VUE (NDL)
LEICESTER are forced into two changes for their NDL home clash with Belle Vue tonight (Saturday).
Lion Cubs No.1 Dan Thompson is ruled out with concussion and reserve Vinnie Foord misses the meeting as he awaits the results of an MRI scan on his wrist.
The hosts bring in Adam Roynon and Kai Ward to guest, whilst the Colts are at full strength for the first of two big away meetings in two days as they also visit Mildenhall on Sunday.
Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “Belle Vue have a strong team with a high-potential line-up, so this will be a tough battle as we look to put on another strong home performance.
“With the NDL being so strong and even this season, we will be giving everything in every home and away meeting to challenge for those top two league places and a place in the Grand Final.”
Belle Vue co-manager Steve Williams said: “Leicester are the defending NDL champions but they do have a couple of changes on the night while we’re at full strength, so this could be something for us to capitalise on.
“That said, I’m certain they will do everything they can to put a stop to our efforts so we will need to bring our best game if we want to be successful against them.”
LEICESTER: Adam Roynon, Ashton Boughen, Max Perry, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson, Kai Ward, Max James.
BELLE VUE: Sam Hagon, Matt Marson, Jack Smith, Freddy Hodder, James Pearson, Paul Bowen, Luke Muff.
