PREVIEW: LEICESTER v ARMADALE (NDL)

LEICESTER hand 15-year-old Ben Trigger his debut when they host Armadale in the NDL tonight (Saturday).

Trigger’s birthday on Thursday means he is now eligible for league racing, and he celebrated by winning the 500cc section of the British Youth Championship round at Belle Vue on Friday.

He slots in at reserve for the Lion Cubs, who continue to operate rider-replacement for the injured Jamie Halder, whilst the Devils are at full strength.

Trigger said: “I’ll probably be a little bit nervous at the start, but I’m really excited to get out there and race.

“Then once the first ride is done, I’ll be able to go forward from there.”

LEICESTER: Joe Lawlor, Jamie Halder R/R, Joe Thompson, Tom Spencer, Dan Thompson, Kai Ward, Ben Trigger.
ARMADALE: Nathan Greaves, Sheldon Davies, Tom Woolley, Lewis Millar, Danny Phillips, George Rothery, Gregor Millar.
