PREVIEW: KENT v WORKINGTON (NDL)

KENT have received bad news on the injury front ahead of today’s (Sunday) NDL match against Workington at Iwade.

Royals racer Jack Kingston had hoped to be fit to make his comeback next week, but further tests have now ruled him out for a further three months, effectively putting an end to his season.

Matt Marson has been booked to guest for Kingston with rider replacement in operation for Rhys Naylor who is also on the sidelines. Recent signing Ashton Vale is unavailable due to the Grasstrack Masters, and Eli Meadows steps in at reserve.

Kent boss Jamie Willis said: “It’s a must win meeting. None of the team are happy with where we currently sit in the table and with Workington just above us, it’s a good opportunity to close that gap.

“Hopefully we can get a sizeable lead before we head for the return meeting next weekend.”

KENT: Ben Morley, Rhys Naylor r/r, Matt Marson, Tom Woolley, Nathan Ablitt, Eli Meadows, Connor King, Chris Watts (no.8).
WORKINGTON: Connor Bailey, Sam McGurk, Luke Harrison, Luke Crang, Ace Pijper, Elliot Kelly, Harry McGurk.
