PREVIEW: KENT v MILDENHALL (NDL KOC)
KENT host Mildenhall in the opening Iwade fixture of the season today (Sunday, 12pm), which is the first leg of their KO Cup semi-final.
The teams met at West Row last Sunday in a league match, which the Fen Tigers won 53-37, but they are without skipper Lee Complin due to his senior commitment for Glasgow.
Luke Harrison comes in to guest for him after impressing when he rode for the club late last season, whilst the Royals expect to be back at full strength after Nathan Ablitt missed their opener with illness.
Kent boss Jamie Willis said: “Our first aim is to win to have a lead to take back to Mildenhall for the second leg.”
Mildenhall manager Jason Gardner said: “It’s been a very encouraging start to the season – especially good to see how six of the team had at least one win or paid win on their scorecards on Sunday.
“We know Kent could well be stronger on their own track but we can only push on from the start we’ve had, and I am confident we’ll get a good result from the first leg to take back to West Row where we can finish the job.”
KENT: Ben Morley, Rhys Naylor, Tom Woolley, Joe Alcock, Nathan Ablitt, Sam Woolley, Connor King.
MILDENHALL: Alfie Bowtell, George Congreve, Ben Trigger, Josh Warren, Luke Harrison, William Richardson, Arran Butcher.
