PREVIEW: KENT v EDINBURGH (NDL)

KENT round off their home season by taking on Edinburgh in the NDL at Iwade today (Sunday).

The Royals face their final three matches of 2023 over a ten-day period and are still chasing a good end to the campaign which could take them as high as fifth.

They are still without injured duo Jack Kingston and Rhys Naylor, with Max James named as guest, whilst the Monarchs Academy operate rider replacement for long-term injury victim Alex Spooner.

Kent boss Jamie Willis said: “It’s a massive meeting in terms of defining our season. A win including the bonus point will hopefully see us climb the table depending on Workington’s results this weekend.

“Although the meeting on Wednesday (at Oxford) was disappointing, I’m looking to add a positive spin to it, in that it’s given us vital track time ahead of a meeting against a team whose last league match was at the end of July.

“We must take advantage of that and be assertive from the first heat.”

KENT: Ben Morley, Rhys Naylor r/r, Max James, Tom Woolley, Nathan Ablitt, Ashton Vale, Connor King, James Laker (no.8).
EDINBURGH: Max Clegg, Alex Spooner r/r, Jacob Hook, Dayle Wood, Adam Roynon, Mark Parker, Mickie Simpson, Nathan Hargrave (no.8).
