PREVIEW: KENT v BELLE VUE (NDL)

KENT and Belle Vue meet in a crucial National Development League clash at Iwade today (Sunday).

The Royals need a home win to maintain their outside chances of making the play-offs, whilst an away win for the Colts would secure their top four slot and rule out Kent and Oxford.

Kent go into the meeting operating rider replacement for skipper Danno Verge who misses out due to a pre-arranged holiday, with the match rescheduled from last week, whilst the visitors are at full strength.

Colts co-boss Graham Goodwin said: “The boys are more than aware of what’s at stake at Kent, but we’re not about to pressure them into action; that’s not what we’re about.

“Jack Smith has been doing his captain’s role, geeing up the boys on the group chat and myself and Steve (Williams) will be firing them up before the meeting as well.

“This is a relatively new track to us, after Kent’s move over the winter, and we do expect a tough meeting, but we’ll do our best and hopefully our best is good enough to make the play-offs.”

The meeting is followed by the latest round of the British Youth Championship for the 125cc classes.

KENT: Max Clegg, Sam Woods, Danno Verge r/r, Connor King, Ben Morley, Chris Watts, Sam Woolley.
BELLE VUE: Jack Smith, Sam McGurk, Nathan Ablitt, Jake Mulford, Harry McGurk, Archie Freeman, Freddy Hodder.
