PREVIEW: EASTBOURNE v NEWCASTLE (NDL)
EASTBOURNE boss Will Pottinger says the club’s National Development League side are looking to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors.
The Seagulls, who collected a point from a 43-47 defeat at Leicester on Wednesday, go into home action for the first time against Newcastle tonight (Saturday) – with the club having won the league title in their last season at NDL level in 2018.
But they are set to be without heat-leader Henry Atkins against the Gems, as he suffered a dislocated shoulder in midweek.
Pottinger said: “We have a great mix of experience and youth in our Seagulls team.
“The last NDL team at Arlington set the standard for us all to aspire to.”
