PREVIEW: BELLE VUE v MILDENHALL (NDL)

BELLE VUE Colts have named Sam Woolley in their line-up at reserve ahead of tonight’s NDL match against Mildenhall at the National Speedway Stadium.

Woolley has replaced skipper Ben Woodhull in the Colts’ declared one-to-seven, with Paul Bowen joining him at reserve and taking over as captain.

The Fen Tigers have former Colts rider Kyle Bickley guesting for the unavailable Jordan Jenkins at No.1, whilst Luke Muff takes a guest booking at reserve with the rider who replaced him, Nathan Ablitt, absent under concussion protocol.

Bowen said: “It’s a massive honour for me to be captain for the day.

“I think it’s on a lot of riders’ bucket lists to be a Belle Vue captain, and it’s quite a moment for me as I consider my future commitments to league racing.

“It has been increasingly difficult with the business becoming busier and I’ve been struggling to find that work-life balance with my racing on top of everything else.

“But me and the boys are ready to go out with a bang. We’ve still got meetings to go and everyone is pumped up for a big finish to our campaign.”

BELLE VUE: Harry McGurk, Jack Parkinson-Blackburn, Connor Coles, Sam McGurk, Jack Smith, Paul Bowen, Sam Woolley.
MILDENHALL: Kyle Bickley, Sam Bebee, Sam Hagon, Luke Ruddick, Jason Edwards, Elliot Kelly, Luke Muff.
