PREVIEW: ARMADALE v LEICESTER (NDL)

ARMADALE hand a debut to new signing Archie Freeman when they host NDL champions Leicester tonight (Friday).

Freeman has replaced Sheldon Davies for the Devils after becoming available when Newcastle withdrew from the competition.

Youngster Ben Trigger moves into the top five for the Lion Cubs with Mickie Simposn at reserve as they chase their first away win of the season.

Armadale’s George Rothery said: “I was trying a few different setups at the last meeting to get more speed from the bike, but I think I am riding Armadale OK.

“I know we can give it our best shot but also I know the Thompson twins are fast riders and Joe Lawlor rides Armadale regularly so it will be very interesting.”

Cubs boss Dave Howard said: “Armadale have strengthened with the acquisition of Archie Freeman at reserve, and led by Nathan Greaves will certainly be strong opposition on their own track.

“But as always we will be aiming to push the Devils for at least an away point, with Joe Lawlor on his home Championship track and the strong home from shown by Dan and Joe (Thompson) and Tom (Spencer) so far this season.

The meeting is again live-streamed with details available from the Edinburgh website.

ARMADALE: Nathan Greaves, Gregor Millar, Danny Phillips, George Rothery, Tom Woolley, Archie Freeman, Lewis Millar.
LEICESTER: Dan Thompson, Ben Trigger, Joe Lawlor, Tom Spencer, Joe Thompson, Kai Ward, Mickie Simpson.
