PLANS MADE AT CENTRAL PARK

KENT bosses are counting down to their big opening meeting against Championship holders Leicester on Tuesday May 18.

Kings promoter Len Silver has confirmed the club are working to ensure all Covid safety measures are adhered to, which will mean some changes for supporters at least in the early weeks.

He said: “It has already been decided that all the interior parts of the stadium will be closed until mid-June.

“That includes the bar, fast food area, restaurant and hospitality suites. It is hoped to have a burger van at the end of the grandstand for the first five weeks.

“It is highly likely that all fans will be expected to use the seated grandstand, staying socially distant at all times.

“Every decision is to ensure that government guidelines are followed and that all fans can feel confident of their own safety in the stadium.”
