OPERATION FOR PERRY
LEICESTER’S Max Perry has undergone an operation on his broken ankle and hopes to be released from hospital on Saturday.
Perry suffered multiple injuries in a crash during Tuesday’s NDL Grand Final, which were confirmed as a broken ankle and wrist, along with bruising to the lungs.
However, he avoided surgery on his wrist which was put back in place under general anaesthetic, and a further MRI scan for the arteries in his neck came back all clear.
The incident occurred on the first bend of Heat 12 of the Lion Cubs’ title decider at Oxford, with the meeting subsequently being abandoned due to rain which moved in during the delay whilst Perry was being attended to by medical staff.
