PREVIEW: LEICESTER v KING’S LYNN (NDT)
LEICESTER Fox Cubs host early NDT pace-setters King’s Lynn at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park today (Sunday).
The Fox Cubs overcame Birmingham last week but again have injury issues to overcome, whilst the Young Stars have won both of their matches so far.
Leicester bring in Luke Harris to guest for Mason Watson and operate rider replacement for Stene Pijper who is also ruled out. Elder brother Ace returns to the team whilst Owen Booth steps in at reserve to replace Caydin Martin who is taking a break.
Fox Cubs manager Jen Crossland said: “It’s going to be a tough one especially with Cooper (Rushen) on the opposition team this time, and they are a strong team with lots of impressive youngsters.
“Ace being back is good news for us. We were delighted to get the first win for the Fox Cubs last week and hopefully we can build on that on Sunday.”
Young Stars boss Jason Pipe said: “We are going into battle for these two points. Once you’re on a winning run, it breeds good team morale and we are not wanting to give up that winning run anytime soon.
“I’ve heard that we have a few carloads going from Lynn to Leicester, which is great to hear and I’m sure the lads will appreciate that extra support and hopefully get us over that winning line to another two points.”
