YOUNGSTERS CHASE HARBOUR TITLE

POOLE promoter Dan Ford says home stars Will Cairns and Cooper Rushen are unlikely to have things all their own way in Wednesday’s Harbour Masters Championship.

The Pirates will showcase plenty of developing talent in the third staging of the event which includes several riders who have previously worn Pirates colours either on a full-time or guest basis.

Ford said: “We cannot overlook that some of the other riders have much more experience than Will and Cooper, and the fact that it will be some prestige for them if they can beat one or both of them.

“Nathan Ablitt and Vinnie Foord both know our place and young Charlie Southwick is certainly a local lad who is absolutely going in the right direction as we saw her recently when he guested for us.”
