WOMEN’S RACES TO SUPPORT BONANZA

NEXT month’s Ben Fund Bonanza at Oxford will once again feature women’s heats as the event provides a showcase for the progress made in the category.

Rachel Hellowell, Katie Gordon, Anastasia Sallee and Tia Brant will be on-track at Cowley on March 23, with British Youth races also supporting the main fund-raising event.

ACU Women’s Ambassador Pippa Laverty said: “Speedway is a fantastic sport, and it’s great to see more women getting involved.

“The continued support of the Ben Fund Bonanza in featuring a women’s race is vital to increasing participation.

“Thanks to the support of the Ben Fund organizers and everyone involved in the sport, we are seeing real progress. Representation matters – if she can see it, she can be it.”
