WOMEN’S OPEN BACK AT LEICESTER

LEICESTER will stage the 2025 Women’s British Open Championship after a successful event at the East Midlands venue last season.

The competition will take place at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park on Sunday June 1 and will once again be part of a meeting which includes a round of the British Youth Championship.

Last year’s title was taken by Celina Liebmann, who spent much of the season with Workington in the Cab Direct Championship, ahead of Teagan Pedler with Katie Gordon third after Rachel Hellowell fell on the first lap of the Final.

As the event moves into a third year there is expected to be further interest with standards clearly improving in 2024 as a result of an overall increase in participation and training.
