WINNING START FOR HOLDER

SHEFFIELD No.1 Jack Holder has started 2022 in style by winning the New South Wales title.

Holder got the better of his Premiership rivals Sam Masters and Josh Pickering, and Ben Cook, who rode for Poole in the Championship last season, in an entertaining meeting at Kurri Kurri.

Said Holder: “It felt great, racing at home in front of my girlfriend and my family is always a pleasure and there can be no better feeling than standing on the top step when they’re all there to see it.

“I wasn’t confident after the first race with bike trouble, but we managed to get it sorted and came out on top, so it was all good. I’m very pleased about it all.”

Meanwhile Sheffield have confirmed an early meeting on their calendar will be Todd Kurtz’s Testimonial on March 24 with Holder, Nicolai Klindt and Brady Kurtz already confirmed starters.
