WILLIAM CAIRNS UPDATE

WILLIAM Cairns is being kept in hospital for observation after his horrific crash in the British Under-19 Final at Oxford on Sunday.

Cairns was involved in a tangle with Luke Killeen in Heat 16 as they chased leader Jody Scott, with the two riders coming down heavily on the third bend.

The rider following, Senna Summers, did a superb job to lay his machine down, and both he and Killeen were able to walk away.

The latest update on Cairns is he has concussion, a broken nose and bruising to his lungs, which means his breathing needs to be monitored.

William and dad Paul would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and concern.

We all wish William well for a speedy recovery!
