TWO MORE FOR BONANZA

GLASGOW star Kyle Howarth and Edinburgh heat leader Justin Sedgmen have been added to the line-up for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Ashfield on March 28.

The Tigers and Monarchs contested a dramatic play-off semi-final last season in the Cab Direct Championship but on this occasion their representatives will be racing in the meeting to raise vital funds for injured riders.

Howarth said: “It’s always been a meeting to do, to give back, they’ve helped me in the past. It’s a great meeting to do for a great cause. It’s always nice when you get asked to do it.

“I don’t think I’ve needed to call on the fund for a few years, it might have been as far back as my shoulder injury (2019). The plan will be to keep it that way!”

Sedgmen added: “I wasn’t injured last season so I did not need the Ben Fund’s assistance, but for what they did for me in 2024, I should do the Ben Fund every year for the rest of my career.

“It’s the start of the year and everyone always want to do a bit of riding before the main fixtures start. Hopefully the weather holds so we can have a good day.”
