TWO MORE FOR BLUE RIBAND

POOLE have added two former British Champions to the line-up for the Blue Riband at Wimborne Road on September 24.

Seven-times winner Scott Nicholls, who rode for the Pirates way back in 1999-2000, and 2021 national champion Adan Elllis both appeared in the previous staging of the event nine years ago.

Promoter Dan Ford said: “There is quality in both these former Poole riders and to have them agreeing to compete is fantastic.

“Scott almost won the title last time, losing out to Edward Kennett in a run-off, whilst Adam is a great trier.

“He had been due to ride for us in 2020, but that season never got off the ground and then of course we stepped into the Championship.”
