TOP FIELD FOR BEN FUND

SRBF Chairman Paul Ackroyd has praised the commitment of the riders ahead of Saturday’s high-profile Ben Fund Bonanza at Workington.

The annual fund-raising event has attracted one of its best-ever line-ups as Danny King defends the title with the likes of Dan Bewley, Fredrik Lindgren, Brady Kurtz and Sam Masters also included.

Ackroyd said: “One of the things I am pleased about this year is that all the riders volunteered.

“Not only that but other high-quality riders made themselves available after we had completed the field.

“Sadly I had to turn them down because I would not have wanted to ask anyone to stand down.”

Bewley, meanwhile, has kindly donated his Great Britain race-suit which supporters will have the opportunity to bid for in an auction.
