THANKS FROM THE BEN FUND
SPEEDWAY Riders’ Benevolent Fund chairman Paul Ackroyd has confirmed the recent Bonanza at Oxford was one of the most successful in the event’s history.
Tom Brennan took victory ahead of Tobiasz Musielak and Fredrik Lindgren in the fund-raiser, with the full meeting plus support races completed despite inclement weather in the early stages.
Ackroyd said: “First of all we’d like to thank everyone that attended, and also everyone who bought the live stream. BSN did us proud with their coverage.
“And of course we are very appreciative of the riders who took part who helped the meeting to be so successful.
“Oxford was an excellent venue, the facilities were brilliant and helped us to look after our sponsors and our guests, particularly the wheelchair guests.
“It was a marvellous achievement for Tom Brennan to win, and we will have his photo on all our advertising for the next twelve months.
“In addition, the two race suits donated by Scott Nicholls and Tobiasz Musielak raised over £1,400 between them.
“Everything went really smoothly, and it was just a very pleasant evening all round.”
