TEST MATCH WIN FOR GB

GREAT Britain were emphatic 55-35 winners over the USA in Saturday’s Test Match in California.

Dan Thompson and Adam Ellis both scored 11+1 for the visitors, who made a flying start to the meeting with four 5-1 in the first five races to take complete control.

Thompson was awarded GB’s Rider of the Night, whilst Tom Brennan was also in double figures with ten.

Skipper Dan Bewley and Leon Flint both carded 8+1 with Jordan Jenkins on 5+2, whilst Ashton Boughen scored 2+1 before crashing heavily in Heat 14.

The King’s Lynn and Glasgow youngster was taken to hospital but was thankfully released with no broken bones, although he did suffer concussion.

Ipswich racer Ellis went on to win the individual competition which followed the main event, with Brennan and Thompson completing the top three in the Final.
