ROBSON KEEPS FINGERS CROSSED

REDCAR have set the date for the fourth attempt to run Stuart Robson’s Farewell Meeting – which will take place at the ECCO Arena on Sunday March 19 (3pm).

Robson has been beset by misfortune since the Covid shutdown prevented the event from originally taking place in 2020, and subsequent planned stagings have been frustrated by the weather and rider availability.

He said: “It has been a tough task to plan for the Farewell Meeting just once let alone four times, and I hope the weather holds and we get to hold this meeting.

“When riders like Danny King, Sam Masters, Charles Wright and Ryan Douglas all agree to take part it shows what a competitive line-up we are putting together, and it will give the guys a good chance to get some practice early in the season before their league and cup campaigns start.

“I want to thank Jamie (Swales) and Jade (Mudgway) and all at Redcar Speedway for their support with the event over the last couple of years, and also all of the sponsors who have remained with me in supporting the event. It promises to be a great day.”
