PREVIEW: SAM MASTERS TESTIMONIAL, Wolverhampton

WOLVERHAMPTON captain Sam Masters stages his Testimonial meeting at Monmore Green today (Sunday, 3pm).

Masters is going into his seventh successive season with the West Midlands club and has assembled a star-studded line-up including former Wolves favourites Fredrik Lindgren and Jacob Thorssell, and two more GP riders in Jason Doyle and Max Fricke.

Said Masters: “I tried to fill the meeting up with friends I’ve known for years and years and years, and other riders who I’ve had a good connection with at some point during my career.

“It’s going to be great to get Freddie and Jacob back to Wolves, but every single rider in that meeting I am so grateful to and it does mean a lot that they’re coming to do it for me.

“I hope we get some great racing, I hope everyone feels entertained and has fun and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Wolves legends Peter Karlsson and Mikael Max have also flown in for the event and will be staging a special track walk with supporters from 2pm, at a cost of £10.
