PREVIEW: FIM EUROPEAN 125cc YOUTH TRACK RACING CUP
POLISH youngster Bartosz Bartkowiak goes for a weekend double in today’s (Sunday) FIM European 125cc Youth Track Racing Cup at Workington.
Bartkowiak defeated fellow countryman Sawin Turowski in a run-off to take the Gold Trophy at the GT Tyres Arena on Saturday after both had scored 15-point maximums.
Latvian racer Hugo Polaks was third after a run-off with another Pole Marcel Zwierzynski, and both will be chasing top spot today.
The top British rider on Saturday was Fraser Buckle who made a great start to the meeting with five points from his first two rides, and he finished the meeting placed 10th in the 20-rider field with seven points.
Buckle and four other British riders have a further chance to impress on Sunday.
