PHILIP RISING

BRITISH Speedway would like to express sadness at the news of Philip Rising’s passing last night.

Phil was extremely passionate about the sport and held some strong opinions, sometimes which we agreed to disagree on!

He ensured the sport’s bible, Speedway Star magazine, continued to be enjoyed by fans, riders, mechanics and sponsors worldwide and we sincerely hope this will continue after the legacy he has left.

Our thoughts are with those who are close to Phil and all the staff at Speedway Star and we wish the magazine every success going forward.
