LAMBERT AIMS FOR CRAVEN GOLD
GRAND Prix star Robert Lambert has added his name to a high-class field being assembled by Belle Vue for the Peter Craven Memorial on March 18.
Lambert enjoyed a brief but successful stint with the Aces in 2022 when he stepped in for the injured Max Fricke and helped the club to their first top-flight title for nearly 30 years.
He joins fellow GP regulars Fredrik Lindgren, Jason Doyle and Dan Bewley in the line-up for the prestigious meeting at the National Speedway Stadium.
Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “I think Robert became one of the fastest Belle Vue legends to be born after the club won our first Premiership title in 29 years, part thanks to his brilliant efforts.
“He has come very close to victory in this meeting in seasons gone by, and what a battle it was with Doyley last year when he finished second.
“We’re very excited about the field as it is coming together and we’re very close to putting the finishing touches to the line-up, and as it stands it really is anyone’s to lose.”
