KURTZ CLINCHES AUSSIE TITLE
BELLE Vue captain Brady Kurtz was crowned Australian Champion with second place in Round 3 of the series at Albury-Wodonga on Wednesday.
Kurtz already held a convincing lead at what was expected to be the halfway stage, but the final round of the competition scheduled for North Brisbane this weekend has been cancelled due to an extreme weather forecast.
The Albury meeting saw Oxford’s Rohan Tungate take the victory ahead of Kurtz, Chris Holder (Sheffield) and Ben Cook (King’s Lynn).
But Kurtz was on top overall with 53 points, whilst Jack Holder held on to second on 42 and Chris Holder was third with 38, just ahead of new Birmingham signing Keynan Rew on 37.
