FLINT WINS IT FOR WOLVES

LEON Flint led a Wolverhampton Select to victory in Wednesday’s BetGoodwin Four Team Tournament at Oxford.

Flint, who rode for the West Midlands club before they were forced to leave their Monmore home, scored a 12-point maximum, including a victory in Heat 16.

Both Wolves and the Swindon Select were on 28 points gong into the decider but Dan Thompson, racing for the Robins, suffered mechanical failure as he left the start, leaving the way clear for Flint to secure the win.

The home side were third but lost Luke Killeen with a scaphoid injury, whilst Chris Harris top-scored for the Coventry Select and then won the individual meeting finale ahead of Jason Edwards, Flint and Richard Lawson.
