EURO GLORY FOR HARRIS

OXFORD Spires and Glasgow captain Chris Harris was crowned European Grasstrack Champion after a brilliant Final in Tayac on Saturday.

Harris, who had finished runner-up in the event in the last two years, took the title for the first time after a spectacular first lap in the decider at the French venue, overtaking Dutch star Dave Meijerink with a trademark outside move.

Harris will be back in domestic action on Monday when he leads Oxford in a vital ROWE Motor Oil Premiership fixture at his former club Birmingham.
