EURO BRONZE FOR GB

GREAT Britain finished on the rostrum in third place in Saturday’s European Under-24 Team Final in France.

The meeting went ahead despite a torrential downpour in late afternoon which washed out practice, and it was Poland who took the win on 48 points.

They trailed Denmark by one point heading into the final set of races but a maximum score over the last four heats was enough to see them finish three clear.

Glasgow’s Villads Nagel top-scored for Denmark with 12, whilst GB took bronze with 23 points, well clear of hosts France on four.

Two more Glasgow regulars, Leon Flint and Dan Thompson, both scored seven, whilst Sam Hagon picked up five points. Luke Harrison and reserve Jake Mulford both scored two.
