BRENNAN IS THE WORKAHOLIC!
GREAT Britain star Tom Brennan has been dubbed the “speedway workaholic” of 2024 – after racing in an incredible 109 meetings last year.
The Ipswich newcomer topped the listings compiled by Polish news source sportowefatky.wp.pl , which analysed the activities of around 1,370 riders worldwide.
Brennan, who rode for Birmingham and Poole in the UK, also competed extensively on the continent, visiting a total of 40 tracks.
His list of 109 meetings left him well clear at the top, whilst former multiple winner Chris Harris was next in line on 91 with the King’s Lynn newcomer and Glasgow captain racing 91 events including his Long Track schedule.
Belle Vue’s German youngster Norick Blodorn was third on the list with 90 ahead of Leicester duo Sam Masters (88) and Max Fricke (86), Masters’ total also including his outings for Oxford.
Meanwhile King’s Lynn’s Jan Kvech was the “greatest globetrotter”, as the Czech Republic star raced in meetings in no fewer than eleven countries.
