BEARS PLAN BIKEATHON

REDCAR are to stage a 24-hour Bikeathon in aid of the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund.

The event will take place around the perimeter of the Ecco Arena on the weekend of March 18/19, finishing at midday on the Sunday shortly before Stuart Robson’s Farewell Meeting.

Riders will join in over two-hour blocks, whilst Bears manager Gavin Parr and promoter Jamie Swales will attempt the full 24 hours.

The club have set up a justgiving page and will also be running a bucket collection for cash donations in conjunction with Robson, who overcame injuries on several occasions throughout a distinguished racing career.
