BARKER BACK FOR BEN FUND

BEN Barker will keep up his ever-present record in the Ben Fund Bonanza having been added to the line-up at King’s Lynn on March 25.

Barker, who is returning to Plymouth in the Cab Direct Championship this year, has raced in all 12 previous Bonanzas, and was the winner of the event at Birmingham in 2012.

He said: “I don’t even need to be asked, I’ll always be there. I love the track there (King’s Lynn) and I’ve ridden for them, it’s good for me.

“I’ve got a couple of new engines and I think I’m set up better for the season than I have been for some time. I felt I was going well last season too, prior to my suspension.

“The Ben Fund has certainly helped me in previous seasons and I’m always happy to give something back.

“I’m signing up for the 2024 London Marathon which I will use to raise money and donate to the Ben Fund. I would have done it this year, but you have to be well in advance signing up.”

There are still sponsorship opportunities at various levels for the Bonanza, plus places for Meeting Mascots (£40) and an auction for a chance to work with meeting referee Tony Steele. For these, email [email protected] .

ANNOUNCED FOR THE BONANZA: Freddie Lindgren, Simon Lambert, Danny King, Connor Mountain, Lewis Kerr, Michael Palm Toft, Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Tom Brennan, Kyle Howarth, Richie Worrall, Ben Barker.
