U21 FINAL HEADS TO REDCAR

REDCAR will host the British Under-21 Final on Friday July 16.

The Bears successfully staged a semi-final of the competition at short notice last month and the major event now heads to the Media Prima Arena for the first time.

Two home riders will be in the line-up as Anders Rowe was one of the seeded four who avoided the semis, whilst Jordan Jenkins booked his place with a 15-point maximum at Mildenhall.

Promoter Jitendra Duffill said: “I’m very excited to have been handed the chance to stage such an important event.

“Jade (Mudgway), Jamie (Swales) and I applied for the Final after the successful staging of the semi-final here last month, as July 16 at Redcar seemed a great fit for us and British Speedway – there are no clashes with other Championship clubs as this date was originally reserved for the Pairs, and the Media Prima is such a fair track that always produces great racing.

“It will give the very best of our British youth a great stage to perform on, allowing them to race hard and to showcase their talent. I’m expecting an epic British Under-21 Final and we can’t wait!”
