TOM TARGETS THE TOP

BELLE Vue star Tom Brennan is chasing the dream of victory in Monday’s Sports Insure British Final after finishing runner-up last year.

Brennan will be on his home Premiership circuit at the National Speedway Stadium and joined his current Aces colleague Dan Bewley and former champion Craig Cook in the top three last September.

And there is an additional incentive with the winner receiving the Wild Card for next month’s British Grand Prix, which will go to the runner-up if GP regular Bewley clinched back-to-back titles.

Brennan said: “It’s the one we all want to win, and I’m really looking forward to it.

“In the two times I’ve been part of it I seem to have gone pretty good, so hopefully I can continue that form on and try to come away with another medal.

“It was fantastic to stand on the podium last year. I’ve been watching the British Final since I was a little kid and it’s one of the events that I really wanted to be a part of.”
