PANTHERS PLEDGE A BONANZA

PETERBOROUGH owner Keith Chapman is delighted to be bringing the Ben Fund Bonanza to the East of England Arena.

The Premiership champions will host the fund-raising event on Sunday March 27 – four years after their planned staging of the meeting was scuppered by snow and freezing conditions caused by the infamous ‘Beast from the East.’

Chapman said: “It’s great to be hosting this meeting, we are proud and honoured to do so.

“The Ben Fund has done so much wonderful work down the years and continues to do so, but for them not to be able to stage a meeting last season was a blow.

“It’s not just the injured riders who benefit. The work they do with the wheelchair users and even former riders who need surgery as a consequence of the wear and tear from riding speedway often goes unnoticed.

“As owner of the club I am only too pleased to bring the event to Peterborough Speedway.”
