PAIRFECT NIGHT AHEAD

POOLE co-promoter Dan Ford says his home combination will have their work cut out to win the Championship Best Pairs next month.

The Pirates stage the major event featuring pairings from all nine clubs at Wimborne Road on Wednesday September 2, with Richard Lawson and Zach Cook declared to race for the hosts.

With the line-up packed full top heat leaders from each club, it’s set to be a real showdown for the silverware in Dorset.

Ford said: “This is a very strong line-up and whichever pair comes out on top will surely have deserved it.

“Obviously, I hope it will be Richard and Zach from a Poole perspective, but I am delighted to see so many riders in the field that can perform at Wimborne Road.

“We will have finished all our regular features by this date and just be waiting on the play-off details and our BSN Final opponents, so it comes as an opportune time.

“I sincerely hope that although we have had to move the date to midweek it will still attract plenty of support across the clubs.”
