GREAT Britain speedway legends Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls will clash in the opening race of the Championship League Riders’ Championship at Redcar.

The draw for the major event at the ECCO Arena on Sunday September 15 (3pm) was made during Wednesday’s fixture between Poole and Scunthorpe.

And it threw up an immediate meeting between Harris and Nicholls in a mouthwatering Heat 1 which also features the league’s top averaged rider Richard Lawson and former Bears star Michael Palm Toft.

Defending champion Charles Wright has been drawn at No.6 and he will face fellow home racer Danny King in Heat 2.
