BIG CLRC LINE-UP FOR BIG WEEKEND

SCUNTHORPE promoter Rob Godfrey is delighted to kick off the new season at the Eddie Wright Raceway with the Championship League Riders’ Championship.

The Scorpions host the second part of the Championship Big Weekend on Sunday April 6 (3pm), and a high-class field has been named for the event.

Home hopes will be with Steve Worrall and Jake Allen, and Worrall faces a big clash with Sam Masters, Danny King and Kyle Howarth in his opening ride.

Godfrey said: “It’s an absolutely fantastic line-up for the Championship League Riders’ Championship at the Eddie Wright Raceway, featuring all the best riders in the Cab Direct Championship.

“It’s a real honour to be staging this meeting, and I hope plenty of fans travel to both the Championship Pairs at Workington on the Saturday and the CLRC at Scunthorpe on the Sunday.

“It’s going to be a fabulous weekend of speedway and it will get the season going with a bang.”
