2024 NORTHERN JUNIOR LEAGUE FIXTURES
FIXTURES for the 2024 Northern Junior League have been released.
This year’s NJL will consist of five teams – Redcar Cubs, Workington Metors, Ashfield Giants (at Glasgow), and two clubs from Edinburgh, Armadale Devils and the West Lothian Wildcats.
The Berwick Academy team have taken a year out in 2024 and will concentrate on trying to attract new riders to be part of their Academy team for the 2025 season.
A spokesman for the Northern Junior League said: “It is a shame that Berwick have taken a year out, however we still have five dedicated teams and with the format for this League being two 500cc riders and two 125cc riders the development for these riders is key, and by competing for a team in this league there is the opportunity of eight extra meetings across the season.”
The Northern Junior League for the 2024 season is part of the British Development Programme as discussed at this winter’s AGM, and each team will have four home and four away fixtures.
The fixtures have been arranged to coincide with their senior club’s fixtures – be it either the same clubs’ Championship or NDL teams – where possible, and in most cases this has been achieved.
By coinciding the senior team and junior team fixtures, this will also make it a full evening’s entertainment for those clubs’ supporters.
