PREVIEW: GB v POLAND, Glasgow

GLASGOW welcome back Speedway of Nations winner Tom Brennan as part of the Great Britain side to take on Poland in a Test Match at Ashfield tonight (Wednesday).Tigers youngster Brennan, who was unbeaten in his two rides as Under-21 reserve over the weekend, and Sunday’s last-heat heroes Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley are all in action for GB to face a Polish team including all-star duo Bartosz Zmarzlik and Maciej Janowski and World Under-21 Champion Jakub Miskowiak.

British Champion Adam Ellis and Premiership title winning duo Chris Harris and Jordan Palin complete the GB side with Harris stepping in for the injured Tai Woffinden.

Brennan said: “The team we had (on Sunday) was obviously hindered with Tai having pulled out after his massive crash.

“But for us to have Dan step in like he did and Robert to perform the way he did, and me to jump in for my races and get the results that I did, was absolutely amazing.

“GB are very professional and very prepared, and I think you have to take one look at our pits to know that we mean business.

“In the Final it was great to know that we were almost there, and to see how GB have progressed the last five or six years – you could see all the emotion coming out. I’ll look forward to bringing my gold medal to Ashfield on Wednesday.”
