REDCAR star Lewis Kerr successfully defended the Teesside Silver Helmet at the Ecco Arena on Friday.
Kerr, who won the title in 2021, finished one point behind team-mate Erik Riss in the qualifying races but won the all-important Final whilst Riss, who had scored 13 points from his five programmed rides, missed out at the back.
The remaining rostrum places were taken by Benjamin Basso as runner-up and Thomas Jorgensen in third, whilst there was an eye-catching nine-point score from Berwick Bullets youngster Ace Pijper.
