REDCAR and King’s Lynn rider Simon Lambert took victory in the Steve Casey Memorial at Buxton’s Hi-Edge Raceway on Sunday afternoon.
Lambert won all his qualifying races in impressive style, and Dayle Wood and Ben Whalley were the next best performers at that stage, finishing a point and two points behind him respectively.
In the final Lambert made no mistake as he got the better of Wood, with home rider Jack Roberts taking third place.
Lambert said: “It was a tough meeting out there, and I was pushed all the way.
“The track is the best I’ve seen it since Buxton returned this year, it’s good to see the track open and I’m really pleased to get the victory this afternoon.”
