Plymouth Centurions v Leicester Fox Cubs

LEICESTER edged a close National Development Trophy contest at Plymouth on Saturday with a 45-44 win over the Centurions.

There were never more than two points between the teams at the Coliseum with the home side leading the early stages before the Fox Cubs levelled in Heat 10.

A 3-2 to the visitors in Heat 14 left them one point ahead, and Will Cairns then won the decider ahead of Plymouth duo Joe Thompson and Ben Trigger.

Cairns scored 13 and reserve Jordy Loftus added 10+1 for the visitors, who move up to fourth in the table, whilst Thompson (13), Ryan Ingram (11+1) and Trigger (10+1) were in double figures for the hosts.
