OXFORD moved clear in second place in the NDL table with a 51-39 win over Kent to boost their Grand Final chances – after rivals Mildenhall had lost the opening fixture of the day.

Henry Atkins scored a superb 14 points for the Chargers, backed up by a solid team performance which saw them go ahead with a 5-1 from reserve duo Luke Killeen and Jason Garrad in Heat 2.

Matt Marson notched 10+1 as a guest for the Royals with Ben Morley on 10, whilst Nathan Ablitt’s scoring was reduced by a disqualification after clashing with Jordan Jenkins in Heat 11.
