Report
EDINBURGH set up a Championship play-off semi-final against rivals Glasgow with a 57-33 victory over Redcar at Armadale.
The Monarchs had an early shock when Sam Masters fell in the opening race, but quickly took control to win by a massive 36-point aggregate margin.
Josh Pickering scored 12+1 with Richie Worrall adding 10+1, but pride of place went to reserve Drew Kemp with a four-ride paid maximum (9+3). Lewis Kerr scored 12 for the Bears including wins in Heats 13 and 15.
Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “I was a little bit nervous at the start expecting Redcar to come back at us, especially when Sam Masters came off in the first race.
“But the team just got on with it, everyone in very good form, and in the end there was nothing to worry about.
“Congratulations especially to Drew Kemp on his paid maximum.”
