Berwick Bandits v Scunthorpe Scorpions

BERWICK completed a positive weekend with a 54-36 win over Scunthorpe to secure all three points from the meeting.

The Bandits trailed by ten points from the reverse fixture in the Cab Direct Championship but they were ahead on aggregate by Heat 9, and they sealed the extra point with one race remaining.

Nick Morris gave his best performance since his return to the sport as he scored 13+1, with Drew Kemp and Peter Kildemand both totalling10+1.

Morris dropped his only point to Steve Worrall, who did his best to keep the Scorpions in touch with 16 from seven rides, and reserve Simon Lambert scored 11.

The result moves the Bandits up to sixth place, three points off the top four although they have raced one match more than Redcar, whilst the Scorpions drop to eighth with two matches to go.
